The publication was prepared in the laboratory "Sociolinguistics, Theory and Practice of Translation" at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The author presents essays from different years about linguists - teachers, colleagues, students, whose works and significant contribution to the development of linguistics remain invariably interesting and useful for many generations of philologists and educators. The book contains indexes with information about foreign and Kazakh scientists, to whom separate essays are devoted, as well as those who are mentioned in them.
